The DTM championship starts again at Moscow Raceway this weekend, after the summer break and Bruno Spengler is eager to get results, at the wheel of his MTEK BMW M4.

The first part of the season did not give Spengler the chance to show what he is capable of. Indeed, the Canadian driver only finished in the points five times out of 10 races and his best result was a 5th place in the first race of the Norisring weekend.

However, Spengler’s results are not a true reflection of his race performance. He has suffered some bad luck and, in a highly competitive field, where overtaking opportunities are limited, this was enough to prevent him from gaining top points.

Onward and forwards, Spengler intends to do his best on a track where he has excelled in the past. He got a second place in 2014 and got a second and a third position last year.

“I have very fond memories of last year in Moscow. That was my best race weekend, as I ended both races on the podium. Hopefully we will have better luck there than in Zandvoort. It is important to focus on improving the car for qualifying, as our race pace is really good”.
