Following a good performance at the Nürburgring (especially in qualifying), Bruno intends to continue in the same vein at the Hungaroring in Budapest this weekend. He had finished on the podium there in 2014.

After a year away, the DTM comes back to Hungary, where, two years ago, Spengler had performed a late charge to reach the third step of the podium.

With this in mind and the recent memory of a good weekend in the Eifel mountains where the Canadian driver qualified on the second row at the Nürburgring and fought with the leaders in both races, Spengler hopes to gain more points at the antepenultimate race of the season.

However, like the other DTM drivers, Bruno will have to contend with a new factor, a new asphalt covering the track, which means the drivers cannot refer to the 2014 data.

Nevertheless, the Team MTEK BMW driver has faith in this track where he had good races in the past.

“I have fond memories of Budapest. Two years ago, the race went very well for us and I finished third to claim a spot on the podium. I also drove single-seaters at the Hungaroring earlier on in my career. It is a very technical circuit with many different corners. One little unknown is what effect the new asphalt will have. Whatever happens, people in Budapest are very passionate about motorsport.”
