Bruno Spengler and his team mates, Markus Palttala and Jesse Krohn, finished the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup 3 laps down at Silverstone last weekend. They lost a couple of laps right at the start of the 3-hour event due to a technical problem to their car, the ROWE RACING BMW M6 GT3.
Spengler travelled to Silverstone a few days after the DTM opening round at Hockenheim.
During practice the three drivers managed to reach the top 10 but qualified mid-grid, having not been able to find a clear lap in the last qualifying session amongst a field of over 50 cars.
Paltalla took the start but had to stop in the pits at the end of the first lap because a turbo pipe had come loose. The ROWE RACING Team did their best to rectify the problem but, frustratingly, Bruno and his team mates lost two laps which they were unable to claw back despite competitive lap times.
The next round will take place at the Paul Ricard Circuit (le Castellet) on June 24.
