This weekend Bruno Spengler will take the start of the Nürburgring 24 Hours for the first time in his career, at the wheel of his Schuberth Motorsport BMW M6 GT3.

For his debut in the legendary Eifel motorsports event, he will team up with Jesse Krohn, Jörg Müller and Kuno Wittmer. The four men were already team mates this year in the first two rounds of the VLN and the qualifying race for the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

After the Daytona 24 Hours and the Spa 24 Hours, Spengler looks forward to sinking his teeth into another iconic endurance event and relishes it in advance.

“I am really looking forward to taking part in the Nürburgring 24 Hours for the first time. It is an iconic event, full of history, on a mythical track. It always attracts a huge number of spectators, and the fantastic weather forecast for this weekend guarantees an atmosphere like no other.”

“As for me, I expect a good fight with other talented drivers. The race is well known for being a harsh and demanding event, with top level teams and drivers. I had the opportunity to have a taste of the Nordschleife earlier this year, with my BMW M6 GT3, but I think that in order to really know certain aspects of the event, like traffic for example, the only way is to take part in a 24-hour race.”

“I am delighted to share this experience with Schuberth Motorsports and with my co-drivers Jesse Krohn, Jörg Müller and Kuno Wittmer. We get along very well, the atmosphere in the team is very good and we are looking forward to working together again.”

“It is difficult to say what we really expect as a result, first we will have to get through the night without any issue, then we will have to see where we are in the race compared to the other competitors. We already know that the BMWs will carry some ballast and will have less horsepower than the other manufacturers so it will be a difficult race but we are ready to fight!”
