Spengler in top 10 at Spa 24 Hours

Bruno Spengler and co-drivers Nicky Catsburg and Tom Blomqvist finished the Spa 24 Hours in 10th position. They were on target for a podium or a top 5 at least, had it not been for a technical problem. Shortly after a new DTM podium on the Moscow Raceway, Spengler reacquainted himself with the BMW M6 GT3 for the Spa 24 Hours. This time the Québécois driver was paired with Brit Tom Blomqvist (fellow BMW DTM driver) and Dutchman Nicky Catsburg (WTCC regular). The qualifying sessions saw the three men reach only 42nd position after an ABS brake failure. Nevertheless,...

Another podium at Moscow Raceway

Bruno Spengler climbed on the podium for the third time this season to find himself 9th in the championship at Moscow Raceway (5th DTM round). He got his first podium of the season at the Hungaroring, then a win at the Norisring, before continuing in the same vein with a third place in Moscow. The Canadian driver used the free practice sessions on the first day to establish a solid setup for the race runs but only got up to 11th in qualifying, unable to do a final run due to that session being red-flagged. Race 1 saw the...

Sixième des EL2, le Québécois était longtemps en lice...

An unlucky weekend for Spengler at Paul Ricard

Bruno Spengler, Tom Blomqvist and Markus Palttala had to retire their ROWE Racing BMW M6 GT3 from this weekend’s Blancpain Endurance Series at Le Castellet circuit (third round of the season). In qualifying for the 6-hour event, Bruno drove in qualifying 3 and took 24th position in a 57-car field, only 3/10ths of a second off the top 10. Bruno got off to a good start, making up positions, patiently picking off the opposition one at a time. He moved up from 24th to 16th. He drove for just under the regulation 65 minutes, not pitting during the first...
