Bruno back on the podium at Moscow Raceway

Race 2 at Moscow raceway, the DTM championship’s 6th meeting, saw Bruno Spengler on the third step of the podium, thanks to an excellent strategy by the MTEK BMW team and incisive overtaking manoeuvres. In contrast, the Saturday had proved very unkind towards Bruno and the rest of the BMW team. Bruno had to make do with 13th in qualifying (1’43”076). Under a veritable monsoon, he ended the first race in 15th position. Sunday was a different matter. Back on track in Moscow

The DTM championship starts again at Moscow Raceway this weekend, after the summer break and Bruno Spengler is eager to get results, at the wheel of his MTEK BMW M4. The first part of the season did not give Spengler the chance to show what he is capable of. Indeed, the Canadian driver only finished in the points five times out of 10 races and his best result was a 5th place in the first race of the Norisring weekend. After a difficult start to the season, the 2012 champion certainly intended to redress the balance at his favorite track, where he won three times in the past. Qualifying for Race 1 saw Bruno amongst the fastest drivers on the Nuremberg street circuit, taking the 5th fastest time. He lost two positions at the start...

Spengler looks forward to competing on his favorite track.

The 4th round of the DTM championship will take place at the Norisring, a track particularly liked by Spengler and at which he took the top step on three occasions. Since Bruno started competing in the DTM championship in 2005, he actually stood on the podium eight times at a circuit that has always been good to him. Last year he finished third in race 2. “I have super memories of the Norisring. Last year, I started Sunday’s race from pole and finished third. That was a huge relief for me, my team and everyone at BMW Motorsport. From...
